Next Up! Two Spring Performance Engagements at Jose Mateo's Sanctuary Theater
The video above is a trailer for a long term project I am working for as a free lancer. Erin Mcnulty and Dancers is presenting A Time For at NACHMO, Nice to Miss You by Natalie Johnson Dance at the Somerville Armory and Dance For World Community in June 2019. The 11th Annual DWC Festival will take place on Saturday, June 15, 2019 and is a free, daylong, indoor/outdoor event in Harvard Square that will feature dance performances of all kinds on five stages, introductory dance classes in a wide variety of dance forms and booths hosted by local advocacy non-profits. The Festival is set to feature over 80 performance groups, 25 class instructors, 30 advocacy groups and will draw a crowd of more than 20,000 attendees. I am excited to share Erin's work with all of these audiences across three events!
Also coming up May 11, I am dancing with The Moving Steps as part of Jose Mateo's spring performance series Dance Saturdays featuring local artists from the many different genres of dance in happening in Boston. Having previously worked with The Moving Steps as a choreographer I am now dancing as a member of the company, and thrilled not only to experience resident choreographer, Lorraine Chapman's work - but also to move with collaborators I have know for over four years. From the Dance Saturdays website: Adrianne Tabet’s Moving Steps Foundation, a powerful model of how dance can transform lives, entrusts her troupe of dedicated women to the artistic imagination of acclaimed local choreographer Lorraine Chapman for a new experimental work. The anticipation of unknown possibilities at the intersection of socially conscious dance and movement for art’s sake adds to the excitement of Moving Steps and Lorraine Chapman The Company. Come join us for this evening of cutting edge dance theater!
